Virginia Military Institute is proud to co-host the 9th annual Commonwealth Cyber Fusion event with Honorary Chair Senator Mark R. Warner, the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative, and the Virginia Cyber Range on
February 26-27, 2027.
Who
This is an invitation-only event for the 27 Virginia colleges that are NSA/NHS designated National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense. About 150 undergraduate competitors and alternates, plus their instructors and advisors will attend.
What
The two-day event includes a job fair, speakers and a TechDuels debate, a networking dinner, and a half-day capture-the-flag style cyber competition designed and hosted by the Virginia Cyber Range. The job fair and employer panel will take place on Friday, February 26, 2027.
A National Priority
Cybersecurity is one of the nation’s and Commonwealth’s top priorities. For Virginia to continue leading in this rapidly evolving space, we need to develop a sustainable talent pipeline capable of providing skilled, industry-ready workers to meet this increasing demand. Cyber Fusion is the organized integration of data and tools from disparate sources of support for secure and resilient system lifecycles.
